How to run Amazon Linux 2 on premises (locally) as a VM

If you want to run Amazon Linux 2 on premises (on a local computer) for development and testing purposes then you can do that by using the virtual machine (VM) images provided by Amazon. This video shows you how to do that using the Oracle VirtualBox virtualization platform. However you can also run it on VMWare, KVM and Microsoft Hyper-V

🔗 How to get the two files needed in the video:

📌 To download the virtual disk image for Oracle VirtualBox go here: https://cdn.amazonlinux.com/os-images/2.0.20210427.0/virtualbox/

📌 To download the Amazon provided seed.iso boot image then please go here: https://cdn.amazonlinux.com/os-images/2.0.20190612/

🛠 To build your own seed.iso boot image or to download the disk images for other platforms visit the documentation page here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/amazon-linux-2-virtual-machine.html
